Biography of Lewis Black
Lewis Niles Black, an American comedian, author, playwright, social critic, and actor, was born in 1948 in Silver Spring, Maryland, U.S.
His mother, Jeannette, was a teacher, and his father, Sam Black, was a mechanical engineer with a passion for painting. Lewis has Jewish roots and attended Springbrook High School, graduating in 1966. In his autobiographical book, "Nothing's Sacred," Black writes that he excelled in mathematics and applied to several prestigious universities such as Yale, Princeton, Brown, Amherst, Williams, and Georgetown.
Although he was not accepted by the first five, he had the opportunity to attend Georgetown University. However, by that time, Lewis had already decided that he did not want to go there and instead enrolled at the University of Maryland.
